V/A: Surprise Your Pig

Surprise Your Pig

Surprise Your Pig was a tribute to REM. Inside the CD booklet, each band got to write a little blurb about what REM means to them. This is what MTX submitted...

"Everytime I hear this song I'm back on the Long Island Expressway in 1966. It's 105o and bumper to bumper and my seersucker's starting to wheeze. One of the all-time good ones."

It's actually taken from a David Cassidy album. Pretty damn hilarious if I do say so myself.

Can't Get There From Here

These aren't the real REM lyrics. Due to the fact that Frank couldn't figure out what the lyrics were, he just made up words that kind of sounded like what Micheal Stipe was saying. Personally, I'm convinced that Frank's are way better, certainly more entertaining.

When your world is a lobster
a band to swallow your hole
with your space-impeded tree limbs
throw the trolls out the door
if you're needing inspiration
modern math is where I go
dem bones
Lawyer Jeff for no one, slow down,
Spiderman gives it oh no
I'll get there I know the way
Can't get there from here
when your hands are feeling icky
spit can jump in off the ground round
this is shower sugar beer now
Donna Reed is not my mom
hands down ain't she bad?
can't stop hit the ground
doin' the town in a communist court
round and round
go ahead
Mr. City-wide hypnotize Zoom time
gentlemen just we five spilling all over Manhattan
