Green Bay, WI

It took forever to get to Green Bay. There was so much traffic! When we finally got there the club had already started to fill up. Fortunately we didn't miss any of the bands though! I said hi to everyone, then Jym sent me to the van to get shirts. When I came back the Parasites were getting ready to play, so I went up front. They were really great as always, even though Dave wasn't feeling too well. For the last song, Rev. Norb (of Boris the Sprinkler) came up to sing. The Parasites and Boris did a split 7" where Dave sang a Boris song (with different words) and Norb did the same with a Parasites song, so that's what they played. It was great. I hadn't seen Boris play in a couple years, so seeing Norb up on stage was really cool.

Next up were MTX. Guess what, they rocked! One of the club guys, "Timebomb Tom" came up and demanded that MTX play a few more songs. No complaints from me! He asked them to play "She Said Yeah" and a couple others that I don't get to hear to often, so I was quite pleased. Afterwards, Kel and I went to hang out with Joe. Then of course, he had to go play. The Queers played a really great (and long) set. They actually ended up playing "This Place Sucks" 3 times which I thought was pretty funny. They played it to start and end the set, but then Tom wanted them to play more (along with the crowd) so they played it again at the end of the encore.

After the Queers finished, Kel and I stuck around for a while. I got kind of worried because we were supposed to be staying with the Parasites, but I couldn't find any of them! I looked around and they were still no where to be found. Then I noticed that some of their boxes were still there. Phew! I helped MTX pack up their merch, then went outside and found Dave. I talked for him for a while, then the rest of the Parasites came outside. Kelley and I talked to them until they were about ready to go, then went back inside to say bye to the Queers and MTX.

We stopped at the grocery store on the way home, then went to Norb's house. His house is so rad, it's made entirely out of metal! It's got metal sliding doors and everything. I was quite impressed.

The next day Norb made us listen to Wesley Willis ALL morning. It was terrible! Quite amusing though. All of the songs had the exact same music, just with different words. Hilarious at first, but after an hour it was just plain aweful. Then when we went to breakfast something pretty funny happened (at my expense, of course). We were talking about MTX, and how I'd seen them almost 60 times, and why I see them so much and stuff, and Dave said, "Gee, I wonder which one it is, Joel or Frank?" So I said, "Hey! Shut up" And he said, "Oooh, I see I've hit a nerve." I must admit it was quite funny, but still. Hmph!
